The Boards of Arrow Leadership Australia and AMC (Australian Marketplace Connections Inc) have agreed for their organisations to unite recognising synergies flowing from the complementary nature of their respective missions:
developing leaders and influencing and transforming the marketplace in a Kingdom context.

With this merger comes the opportunity to announce the appointment of Liam Glover as Executive Director.

Rick Macdonald, Chairman of AMC shared: "This appointment follows the retirement of our founding CEO, Peter Kentley, who has served faithfully in this role for many years & been a strong catalyst for marketplace ministry across this nation."

George Savvides, Chairman of Arrow Leadership Australia confirmed, "Liam's appointment is well timed to lead Arrow's expansion into its new Executive Stream (Marketplace) Leadership Program and the Alumni Programs as well as taking on the strategic leadership of the new merged organisation."

"We had an excellent response to the recruitment process, which resulted in both Board's unanimously agreeing to endorse the search committee's nomination of Liam Glover."

Liam began vocational ministry in 1998 after working in the field of commerce and law in both the corporate and not for profit sectors. During the years serving as the founding church leader of a suburban church in south-west Brisbane, he also worked as a church and not for profit organisational consultant, specialising in leadership and effecting change. He also serves as Chairman of Natural Church Development Australia. Liam has qualifications in commerce, law, finance and divinity, and is currently enrolled in the Doctoral program at Fuller CA.

"Liam commenced as Executive Director on March 19. We look forward to his energy and passion for the Arrow AMC mission. He will remain based in Brisbane with his family but the role will have extensive engagement nationally."

The Melbourne offices of Arrow & AMC will move to a common site by June this year.

Foundationally, both organisations desire that Christ is known, through inspired individuals who have connected calling to vocation.

Both Arrow and AMC work to indentify, develop and mentor influencers, as existing and emerging leaders, to express Christ's transformative agenda to the world. Arrow and AMC make it possible that those who follow Christ see their lives as ambassador's of God's transforming purposes in the everyday of community and work as well within our churches, to bridge what is often referred to as "the Sunday Monday divide." Arrow's Program Director Julian Dunham will continue his excellent work running the Arrow Leadership programs for emerging Church leaders, now in its 15th year. The AMC team will continue to pursue the expansion of the ILG groups nationally and further development of the Cre8 Business Leaders Conference.

Both Chairmen agreed: "We recognise significant synergies from our Kingdom collaboration. There will be more exciting news as we go forward together."

Going forward, the organizations have agreed to combine at both operational and at the governance level, with the formation of a single representative Board to be Chaired by George Savvides. This is expected to take place in April, 2012.
