AMC Beliefs, Values and Ethos

Core Belief

"And this is his command: to believe in the name of his son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he has commanded us." (1 John 3:23).

Balance

We seek to maintain balance in the three key aspects of living out our faith on a daily basis:

  • Worship - in heart and attitude, John 4:24.

  • Discipleship - John 14:15-21.

  • Mission - John 20:21-22, Luke 19:10.

Values

We are committed to the following values:

  • Encouragement

Ethos

Christian groups in the marketplace should be:

  • committed to Biblical integrity

  • contemporary

  • non-competitive

  • gender inclusive (while maintaining disciplines such as avoiding opposite gender counseling etc)

  • evangelical and charismatic inclusive

  • non-denominational

  • encouraging of member involvement in their own local church. Marketplace groups are not a substitute for local churches.
