On top of this we have seen the removal of the 10 commandments
from public buildings in the United States and the banning of God
from classrooms.
Secularism is a disgrace as
evidenced by its bad fruit. The British economist John Maynard
Keynes (1883-1946) observed: "Man will do the right thing...
after he has tried every other alternative". Anyone who
understands Genesis 1:15-17 would have known from the outset that
secular humanism can only result in death and destruction. Well,
we've had enough of "other alternatives". It's time to get back to
loving God!
We are fortunate to be amongst
those who know there is one great answer... not more 'alternatives'
from the corrupted ideas of man - but the genuine answer only
available from our eternal Judeo-Christian God. This is a cry for
revival that needs to be passionately held in the hearts
and prayers of everyone who loves God. This brings us to a great
new year's resolution: to combine pervasive prayers for revival
in the land. Now I'm excited about that!
Today's genuine Christians
are God's champions in a world in tremendous need - and revival
starts in your own pond. So what is your pond?
Well who knows you? Who are the
people in
your daily sphere of influence? This pond is your
unique opportunity to throw in the cornerstone of Christ
and watch the ripples envelop the pond. God has vested in you the
spiritual responsibility for your pond: your home, friends, work
colleagues, clients, school community, sports and recreational
buddies etc. What shape is your pond in right now?
It's time to take spiritual
duty of care for your pond. You have been born again to
be a transformer in your pond!
Well what are the steps necessary in the life of the believer if we are to become
pond transformers? In my own experience I can identify the
following milestones in God's impact on my life:

growing practical faith in God
-
personal relationship with
Jesus
-
being filled and refilled with the Holy
Spirit
-
love of His word
-
casting our crown before his
throne
-
being established in the
victory of the Cross
-
a passion for mission as a
normal part of everyday life.
Then how do we engage with
other believers in order to prepare for revival?...
-
humility before God and man
-
love of, and interaction with
the wider body of Christ
-
prayer under the unction of the
Holy Spirit
-
obedience to the word of God.
As we take these ways of God to
work with us on a daily basis we will also make progress in advancing
up the steps of Christian maturity in the marketplace:
-
survival mode
-
seeking to follow biblical
principles at work
-
taking the holy spirit to work
-
transforming our marketplace
for Christ.

So these are exciting goals
that transforms daily life from the ordinary to
