This Easter: Foetal Position -or- Festal Procession?

But wait, there is more good news... there is no busted relationship, no transgression, no stupid act, no sin (except for blasphemy against the Holy Spirit) that cannot be healed by the Cross. This is what happened when God knowingly allowed Jesus to die on the Cross in the place we deserve, in order that he may pay the price for our wrongs.

This is truly the LOVE of God: his life for ours.

This is the power of the blood of Christ.

This is what we celebrate at Easter.

At this time of global economic downturn we who are in Christ rejoice in our God. We are not amongst those defeated by greed and fear... the cause of all this economic gloom. No, we are amongst those who are secure in the promises of God.

 

Therefore you timid Christians... rejoice with a glad heart! Do what you can to get out of debt and get out of the Foetal Position in the way you relate to the world.

 

Rather rejoice in the Festal Procession this Easter of celebrating the ONLY SAVIOUR of the world.

 

Let us engage with this truth: that we who are in Christ have the BEST CONTRIBUTION THERE IS to bring to the marketplace. Only authentic Christians can gift to the marketplace:

• a new heart attitude born again of God

• the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control (Gal 5:22)

• the gifts of the spirit for the common good including love, faith and wisdom (1 Cor 12)

• the anointing of the Spirit to excel in our crafts (Ex 31:3).

This Easter think about these things. Meditate upon them and do something PROACTIVE in your Festal Procession such as asking a colleague to join you at a lunch time Easter celebration or by giving a fellow seeker a card or email with the Easter message. For...

let us rejoice and be glad in it.

O LORD, save us;
O LORD, grant us success.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD.
From the house of the LORD we bless you.

The LORD is God,
and he has made his light shine upon us.
With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession
up to the horns of the altar.

You are my God, and I will give you thanks;
you are my God, and I will exalt you.

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his love endures forever.

Let us bring a smile to the face of God this Easter as we honour him in the way we live and work. Let us please God by our celebration of his son's victory over the devil, sin and death. Oh what a privilege we have to be part of this festal procession of celebrating God's wondrous provision in Christ.
