Personnel and governance are two distinct yet critical functions of ministry existence. CMA has seen many examples of churches and ministries struggling because of elementary governance misunderstandings, or because of a failure to properly address personnel issues. These two seminars (come to just one, or come to both) address these two critical factors, and can point your church, school or
ministry towards higher levels of effectiveness—and lower levels of stress!

Australian Christian Lobby

Find out:
- what the Parties think

- how MP's voted on Conscience

- meet your candidate Forums

The Australian Christian Lobby put 25 questions to each of the political parties on key issues of concern to Christians. This interactive website contains the parties' responses to ACL's questions in bite-size pieces. It showcases their attitudes to Christian concerns as well as their responses to specific questions on pro-life, pro-family, refugee, climate change and many other issues.

Australian Christian Values Checklist

One of the aims of the Australian Christian Values Institute is to resource the Christian community in order for individuals to make educated decisions when exercising their democratic right to vote. In the 2006 Census 64% of Australians identified themselves as Christians.
To help the Christian community and those who are sympathetic to Christian values make a more informed choice when it comes to voting, the Australian Christian Values Institute, through its parent body Australian Heart Ministries, has produced Christian values checklists for many elections at both a federal and state level since 2001.
The ACV goal has been to do a careful bipartisan evaluation of the major parties positions on matters relating to Christian values and present it in a readable, impartial and accurate form to help Australian voters make an informed choice when voting.

Parliamentary Prayer Network

As we approach the federal election it is vital that Christians pray about the election and how they vote. We also need to pray for the church, the nation, MPs and government.
Pastor Lynne Klomp, National Coordinator of the Parliamentary Prayer Network (PPN), has said that earlier this year, she was praying and God prompted her to consider what type of government we want.
In response the PPN has prepared detailed Prayer Notes for the federal election. They cover the 28 days leading up to the election, October 28 to November 24.
These have been edited and endorsed by the leaders of the major prayer networks in Australia.

In particular, Robert will relate the darker days of organised crime within the industry, the nadir of which proved to be the great watershed for both the Company and him personally.
You will also hear how throughout all of this, Robert came to realise and know the real source of strength and life which sustained him then and always.

We commemorate this event by offering the inaugural Victorian Wilberforce Awards for Victorian citizens who have made an outstanding contribution to the Australian community, echoing the principles reflected by William Wilberforce. The recipients of these Awards are committed individuals who have sacrificed their personal ambitions for their vision for the betterment of society, underpinned by their Christian faith. They have demonstrated involvement with integrity in secular issues. They are light and salt in the community, people who have made a significant difference and brought about a sustained and ongoing change in the community.
