| Mount Ophir Estate is a Christian based enterprise that
seeks to uphold Christian principles and values in all its endeavors.
There are always positions available on the property - some paid and
others on a voluntary or bed and board basis.
Mount Ophir is a successful participant with
WWOOFers ~ Willing Workers on Organic Farms. This is an organisation that
enables people to find places on farms with free board and life experience
in exchange for work.

Future Land Development
Opportunity
The Mount Ophir Estate is commencing work on a themed village which
will offer ownership of a dwelling on the estate to folk who wish to live and
work on the property. The first owners will be able to have input into the
design work for their home.
Enquiries are welcome and all applications will be considered before final
offers for participation are made. It is intended that this be
accomplished by the end of 2000AD and building commences in 2001AD.
Future Vision
The owner's vision for the estate is for the development of a
community. Originally about 30 persons lived and worked on the estate in the wine
industry. Today there are many opportunities for the development of other businesses particularly in organic farm produce and tourism.
